The end of the first month in 2012 showing winter is about. Clear, calm and cold, the forecasts for a moderating trend no where to be seen for the remainder of the week. Clear and cold the order of the day.

A grand sunrise over Ross Island bright red, a few birds on patrol, very quiet scene.

Exams now complete, have to await the results, no school today, start again tomorrow. Emily her final few months of High School, Rob on the other hand remains to be seen if remains on schedule.

Good afternoon, or early evening as you chose,
The snow has started and wind is picking up a bit. Thermometer says the temp is the same as this morning but the wind and moisture tells a different story. Snow showers tonight changing to mix tomorrow and finally rain. Good time to head back to the shop.

We found C'town and were happy we left a day early. Friday up there was a wet day and I was glad to not be travelling in that weather. Our Emily was happy to see us. It was the first time Cindy and I stayed in the digs of one of our girls. Em's apartment is not large but it is big enough to put us all up.

Next month we visit Rachel in Philly. She rents what is called a "trinity". It is three rooms stacked one upon top of the other and has about a total of 350 square feet. That 350 square feet includes the stairway to the upper floors. It dates back to the 1800's.

We visited with a fisherman friend from Bay Fortune and got to see parts of PEI we had not yet discovered. Lobstermen are all the same in that we are all optimistic that next year will be better then this year.
