Weather remains 'different', overcast, SSW breeze 15-20KPH, 3C temp. The forecast indicates similar conditions for the week ahead.

Haven't caught up on the ferry news, yesterday the ADVENTURE was on the run in the afternoon. No scuttlebut as to the reason, hoping they were able to repair the problem without taking her off the run.

Emily preparing for trip to Quispam next weekend, the longrange weather much more conducive to such a plan - at the moment at least.

Just saw the video - what a beautiful place, and what an inspiring story. The documentary was so well done - makes me want to move there and take up hockey! Well, ok - move there and make Nanaimo Bars for the hockey players. And eat lobster. And get to hang my clothes out on a clothesline again - that would be good.

Truly, great publicity for the town. So glad I happened to see it!

You have had it! Everybody has got your post office wall picture now. You will be giving tours of Grand Manan, reviews for restaurants, trail guide info, etc. You will have to dye your hair, change your name, and move out back of the island in order to get peace :)

LOL, Chunks!

Dear Rob:

Today it was +3 to +4. Went hiking. Wind on the water was unreal. Got some fantastic wave shots. They are on facebook if you want to see them. Managed to get about 8-9 k in. Completely covered in salt spray by the time I finished. The patient (hubby) made a beautiful homemade soup so by the time I got home at 6:00 p.m. I dove right in. DELICIOUS!!

Tomorrow is supposed to be a great day as well. I just love this. Nice and cool, but yet able to comfortably hike and spend the whole day outside. What more could we want?

Have a great day tomorrow.

Word.

Herself and I watched the Mars video on Youtube last evening--a million dollars worth of advertising to say the least. One would think that the CAO of the village would have worn a suit and tie though.... He will be seen by millions of fans. You should post a link on your blog, so that all your wunderfans can take a look.

Hi Rob, I also watched the Video on Bug's blog... it was lovely to see a community working together to achieve something they can all be proud of. :)

Hope you are having a great Sunday:)

Ogal posted the Youtube about the rink.

I don't have speakers on my computer and it wouldn't really make any difference if I did; I can't hear well enough. Still, it was nice to see the rink, the community, the boats, the waterfront, you and your friends and neighbors.

I ought to prowl around more on Youtube. Who knows what I might find?

Did a quick read back and was glad to find that the Legends event was a success.

Ya'll sound like you've been having some wintry weather.

Sunny here but windy and chilly.

Latest member of the family is obviously happy to be off the streets. He's on the bed in the front room, snoozing away. He's filled out from the abundant food available, not to mention the kitty treats. It didn't take him long to learn what the crackle of those bags meant.
