A bit more like the date this morning, from a weather perspective. Temp -5C, being pushed around by 15KPH NW breeze gives the outside a bit more of a bite. Clear, however dramatic change for the weekend, southerly winds, rain, sleet, just about whatever you want temps in the high single digits.

Lobster price, for those few still at it, reported to be over the $5/lb for the first time in a year. The hope is the prices are at that level come spring, unlikely if history has any credence in these things.

Haven't been in the woods as yet, have been accused of procrastination. Conditions in the bush not conducive to travel, the soft areas have no bottom, and ice over the water certainly will not take a load.

Evening Chunks, boat having some mechanical problems, nothing too serious she made the 5:30 trip after announcement of cancelation.

Emily will be hanging on till Sat. before travelling, if then. I suggested, however Donna said not a suggestion it would be the case. Emily has no problem when it comes from her, guess after this length of ti.e she is .ore ethan aware of where the real authority lies.

Dear Rob:

What up with the Grand Manan ferry? Heard she was off her last runs on the way home from town.

God is sending Emily a message I think!

Word.

Dear Rob:

Can Emily go to Quispam tonight instead of tomorrow? Grand Manan changed their weather forecast at 10:30 this morning to: GALE WARNING - heavy snow starting early Friday Morning, changing over to freezing rain, then rain. BLARG! Wouldnt want the little girl driving around in that. I see that David is going to leave today for Charlottetown instead of risking it for tomorrow.

Tell Emily that there is a store in BRUNSWICK SQUARE -PYSIDO? (I have no idea how they spell their name) - anyway - a lot of the girls go there to get their prom dresses and they are beautiful. They will not sell the same dress to anyone else who attends your school, thus ensuring you are a standout in your gown. Brunswick Square is not hard to get to and she can park in the garage so doesnt need to drive around looking for a spot. I think she would be happy with their multitude of selections.

Anyway, I am off to town to avoid tomorrows weather. Have a great day and be safe.

Word. Chunks.

p.s. the heck with the wood for a while. If you have burnt as much as we have, you won't need that much anywho. :)

Morning,
We are headed to C'town today. Tomorrow morning sounds like the travelling from this end could be dicey/icey. Also, I will not have to look out for little blue cars headed east from your part of the world on Friday.

Lobster price up to $4.50/# here. Still a bit too little and a bit too late for me but good for those still pounding away at it.

CHUNKS,
Grad school for the girls is a less expensive proposition for me, or at least so far. Not to say that the Bank of David is not open for business but I do close the window and am not open 24 hours a day!!

Rob: a good time to wait for better conditions. falling into a bottomless hole will ruin your day. I hope to make it back to the maritimes of bermuda but visits to the md's for wife and I may conflict.
Take care of your self and wait to real spring to start cutting.
