Another weather change, temp -12C, just enough NW to move the flag, temp to remain at this level, clear, till this evening then a southerly flow brings temps on the plus side overnight. Southerly, SE wind, plus temps with a wintery mix in the forecast for tomorrow.

The NHL LEGENDS gaining speed now as the day draws nigh. We are ones that wait till the last moment to make a commitment, especially if it has a dollar tied to it. However lots of tickets on the move yesterday, support for the event has been great. One comment made to me 'this is something we have had to go to the mainland to enjoy', times they are a changing.

Lots of swell for those guys working a bit of shore, something akin to a roller coaster hauling trawl. A day of those conditions takes a toll on the body, no problem turning in at night.

Dear Rob:

Congrats - plus - to Emily for receiving her acceptance!!! That is quite the career choice, especially for girls, but if she is as fastidious about her studies there as she is at school there should only be a small period of adjustment for her.
Is she going to Fredericton, or Saint John UNB? In any case, there is usually an ENTERANCE SCHOLARSHIP and the amount depends on her grades at the end of grade 12. It is their responsibility to apply for it though, so make sure to tell her to look in to that a.sap. Between $1,000.00 and $4,000.00 can make a big difference in the end amount owing.

It sounds like the rink dedication is going to be the event of the month. What an exciting time. A good event to chase away some of the January blahs. Hopefully, there will be some newspaper coverage. I wrote Jeanne and Gerald a little note about it incase they want to venture out, but I am not sure if that will happen. Driving at night shouldn't really happen for Gerald.

Speaking of Deep Cove, Gerald drives down there quite a bit instead of going to the shed daily, as per summer hours. He said when the big swells are happening there are a bunch of people in wet suits who love boarding in to the big waves. Wet suit or not, can you imagine how freaking cold that would be when you get out. Bur-r-r-r-! It would be fun to watch though. He stumbled upon them when he had gone down to watch for Chris coming in from the ledges.

Well, have a great day tomorrow and hopefully it will warm up some. Right now it is about -9 and the wind has finally subsided somewhat. Bitter this morning.

Have a good one.

Morning CHUNKS, and a fine one it is, albiet a bit chilly, bright sun prevails at least for the next few hours.
Yes tomorrow looking busy well into the evening, all centred around the complex. Official Opening at 1:30PM, dedication of MARS BAR construction in the arena and the LEGENDS game in the evening, all good stuff.
Looking out to the south the past week would have to believe Davids part of the world would have seen some weather. Deep Cove still surfing territory with the swells rolling in.
Emily recieved Acceptance for Civil Engineering at UNB, very exciting. Can't tell if she has grasped the concept as yet, a great opportunity for her, the discipline is her wheelhouse. Calculus remains the unknown, not alot of preparation given in High School, will see.
Many tickets for the game going out the door this morning.
Stay warm, tomorrow southerly will be much warmer.
