More typical January weather this morning, temp a cool -11C, a slight draft from NW, clear, wind and temp to remain similar for the remainder of the day. Gale force easterly and poor conditions in the offing for tomorrow.

Counted over two dozen scollpers turning over Duck Island Sound yesterday, an odd egging boat amongst them. A busy time, haven't heard what the catch looks like.

Locally things pretty quiet, slowly gaining some momentum towards the NHL LEGENDS game on 20 JAN 12. The full slate of activities not known as yet, some indication the official opening of the facility may take place on that date.

Morning, Rob - That would be neat, to have the official opening at the Legends game. That's really quite a deal. Even those of us who barely know one end of a hockey stick from the other will be paying attention to that!

Lovely and sunny here today after Monday's nice rain and yesterday's cloudy and cold. Tonight, we're getting our own dry front and possibly gale force winds. We'll see about that, but there's a fire warning up anyhow for 20-30 mph. Seems strange to be issuing a fire warning after so much rain, but it's a good indication of what's really going on. Half of what we got was runoff, and it's going to take a good bit more to really soak things good.

Good morning Rob.
It looks like the winter duldrums have settled into the little rock s well as the prairie.
Enjoy the day and put on the ankle weights to keep from blowing away in tthe strong winds that have been forecast for the little rock.
