Holidays now over, except for students school dosn't resume till next week. Weather more January like, partial overcast, draft of wind from the north, temp seaonal -3C. Temp to drop as the day moves along, clear and very cold overnight. Remainder of the week will assure us that it is January with seasonal type highs.
Emily returned to the fold last evening, a very successful few days in Quispam. Planning return ASAP.
Local fishery has been quiet due to weather I suspect. However sea urchin price not worth pursuing at the moment, stood down for this week. Those boats planning on scalloping will be getting serious about gearing up for next week.

I can't believe the warmth of this winter. from your experience on the praire you know January is very frosty. It's supposed to be melting here today.
Enjoy the day.
It is much colder here today as well. I think it is that we are just not used to it. Let's face it - in Januray I have seen -30 and wind to boot. So, I don't have to shovel - YET - and a good coat keeps you toasty.
Back to work today and I am not sure why I took some vacation. My desk is loaded to the rafters. Over-time today and probably the rest of the week. It seems kind of pointless to relax for a few days and then start stressing the minute you get back to work. Blarg - I am sure I am not the only one.
Went for a walk to St. Rest Beach yesterday and found some major floaters etc. The owner had his number on so I called. He lived in Nova Scotia. Said he had lost a lot in the gale. I told him I would hold on to his stuff until he came to N.B. some time. I think the big pink floaters (I am not sure of the correct name) is about $50.00. He could not believe how far they had come.
Well, much to do so better get to. Have a good one.
