Cloudy, expecting showers by this afternoon, the southerly wind persists, 35-40KPH, gale force forecast for later on today. Southerly and lots of it for next few days.Temps remain in the mid-teens.

Trees gone by the leaf peeping, beginning to have colour, the wind has taken most of them just as they were beginning to give the show.

Locally all effort on the upcoming lobster season, most of the wiers have been stripped for the winter. Possibly one in Whale Cove still has twine, and has managed to capture a few at weeks end.

Dear Rob:

Thanks for the heads up - re: rain. I hung out a whole line of wash thinking it was going to be nice? We are heading up to my woods so I would be in trouble with the feather duvet, etc.

Last night it blew all night. I went to the woods yesterday as well and whilst taking a photo a huge wind blew in the canopy and the entire forest floor by the tree I was photographing moved. I moved out of there a.sap. I can hardly believe that it sustained winds that long.

Well, hub is ready to go so must move along. Send a little note to Sarah in Florida. She is VERY worried about leaving on her much planned trip because they have massive storms forecast. That just has to suck out loud that you leave on your trip not happy, but worried about what might happen.

Have a great day.

Word. Chunks.

Good morning.

I'd not realized it had been so long since I'd stopped by. I have lurked a bit; just haven't posted.

Sounds like things have been busy up your way.

Wish we had some fall colour. All we're getting is falling leaves, much to Hubby's dismay. He dreads the annual chore of raking and bagging. As do I. If we ever buy a house again, we'll have an eye to how many deciduous trees are on the lot!
