The sun attempting to make an appearance, hazy in the harbour, southerly 10-15KPH, a warm 17C. Weatherman suggesting a day of moisture then a day of sun for the week.

Off to pick up Emily in her vehicle in a couple of hours, will be an opportunity to have her do some city driving. This could be interesting as she is of the opinion that I am more like a cop than an instructor in these instances. Rob out overnight, his other interest getting ready for the opening of university in Fredericton, he has more time fill in with his peer group.

Haven't been around to learn of any fishing news, didn't see any of the wier group on the move, and the carriers seemed to be tied up whenever I checked the wharves.

Rob,
Some chop and fog on the water today which created a lot of places for bouys to hide. This eventually cleared out by late afternoon. The rest of the week sounds a bit iffy as to rain/fog/moisture conditions. Long rance forecast for Katia looks more promising as time goes by. We may be in for some rough water around the shores but not a lot of wind. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

About 10 miles below Searsport (home port of Hamilton Marine) at the junction of routes 1 and 3 lies Belfast. It has a lot of shops for the ladies but more importantly it has a new boat yard. The boat yard is a consortium of 4 different marine related businesses which got together to create this business on the waterfront in Belfast. It seems to have become an instant success and possesses what I think is the largest Travellift in Maine which is also operated by remote control.
