A steady farmers rain at the moment, low lying clouds/fog at tree toop level on Ross Island, calm, 15C temp. Similar weather for the morning, possible clearing with threat of Tshowers this afternoon. Temp to hit around 20C, looking good for the holiday weekend.

ADVENTURE tied up in Blacks Harbour, impressive the pictures Emily has located on FACEBOOK. A story in the TELEGRAPH JOURNAL has a nice picture of the V & ADVENTURE, quite a contrast in size. Her arrival has caused quite a stir, the ADVENTURE was being referred to as the GRAND MANAN EVENTUALLY, always a wag to capture the delay factor.

Rob returned to late for me to quiz him on his impressions of the new vessel. Emily insists on picking up `my brother`to save me the effort of having to do so - very considerate young lady.

Good Morning Rob.
Emily will enjoy the roadtrip to Yoho. The parking in the Adventure will sharpen her skills.
it looks like another warm prairie day here.
Enjoy your day.

We did get rain last night but not enough to soak the soil. We missed the thunderstorm warning as well.
The fog I spoke of yesterday was in full bloom this morning. By the time I got to my outside gear it was lifting and the rest of the day was great. We have made the transition from all hard shell lobsters to about 80% soft shell and 20% hard shell. The seiners are moving in an easterly direction so perhaps the GM weirs will see a bit of action soon.
We have an open house at the IVFD from 4-6PM today. The younger the child the more they like to sit in a fire truck.

Dear Rob\;

The picture in the paper is really impressive. One and all at work brought in the paper to show me. I am sure they were just so glad that finally I would stop talking about the 'stupid government' not getting stuff done on time for Grand Mananers. They don't get that when you are an 'honorary' Grand Mananer, stuff just matters. Ha Ha

Sarah used to also feel very considerate about us old folks having to go out at night to get son from various stuff and thus offering to do the chore for us. That all changed later and she could often be heard saying - 'why can't he just walk home from the school, it's not that far'. How time changes STUFF.

We had rain, thank God, most of the morning but appears the sun is breaking out as we speak. Not sure what our forecast is. Could use a tad more rain.

Well time to get to - I hope that when I hit the time of my vacation to Grand Manan that the new boat will be on. Maybe I will luck out and be on the lst run of the new ship. Wouldn't that be exciting.

Have a good one. word. CHUNKS.

p.s. Hope that Plug was not at sea when they got that severe thunder storm watch last night. Safe Harbour Plug. Wouldn't want you to disappear just when we all just got to meet you. Later. Word!
