Overcast, calm, cool temp at the freezing mark, slowly expected to rise into double digits. More rain for the remainder of the week.

Harbour very quiet, a few brant headed to the brook for some fresh water, no other waterfowel in evidence.

Temps yesterday into high teens for the afternoon, a welcome change. Don't appear that is to be the norm for a little while yet. It has been enough to spur on the need to get some work done in the yard, or at least this has been strongly suggested.

Dear Rob:

Well, we had a quiet day yesterday too as daughter and hubby both had to work. We are having a virginia ham tonight and am expecting the usual herd.

I am glad that everything turned out well for the new mom and baby. The joys, as you say, of living on an island.

We have really excellent weather here. At least 12 or 13. If rains coming it is a ways off for us. Had to make a trip to the city to get daughter new prescrip. sun glasses for the trip. There is ALWAYS one more thing that needs to be bought. We will be broke for years. Ha.

Now trying to arrange for a prescrip. for a broad spectrum antibiodic for her to take with her - just in case. Dr.'s are reluctant but I am not giving up. It could make the difference for her of being really ill before she could get to an international clinic.

I heard a rumor today that Klaus is going to purchase the old factory in Seal Cove, with thoughts of a marina. I think that is a great idea, but others do not. As I said, GOSSIP, so don't repeat, although I am sure you have already heard the same thing.

Speaking of that - did you ever hear anything else about the bones. I can't wait to hear the mystery on that one.

Well, supper to prepare. Have a good one.

Word. Chunks.

Morning CHUNKS, trust you folks had an enjoyable Easter. Things quiet at this end, had Donna's dad for the tradtional ham dinner. Kids eat and run to what they have to get done, or visit, again nothing unusual in that activity.

Donna has a cold, consequently have not met Charlotte as yet. Lindsay didn't get on the plane, once he got here couldn't get in due to freezing rain. She made the trip by ferry and ambulance, a bit apprehensive, but OK.

Will play with chainsaw this morning, but will no doubt have a couple of hours work in the yard by this afternoon. The way the sky looks rain might be closer than this evening.

Have a good one.
