Overnight, had a nice moon, this morning once again a stiff breeze from SW, overcast, threatning showers. Breeze 20-25KPH to remain into the evening, a slight change tomorrow, however wind and rain the norm till end of the week.

Boat resumed her trips in the afternoon, felt prudent to leave Emily in Quispam till today. She was game, however wave height over 20', no lee from there to here, a rough unessecary trip. Indications are that the decision was not a hardship, just another lost day of school the main loss, that only in our mind certainly not hers.

Generosity of the community evident at an island wide 'singsperation', proceeds for local food bank and other charities. Rob participated, combined with the local branch of Scotia Bank over $12K raised, and a good time by all who attended.

Dear Rob:

20' seas??? I HOPE that somebody got a picture of that.

When will the highest spring tide be? I am marking it to go to the Irving Nature Park for pictures. Pls. advise.

Yesterday, for my awesome birthday adventure??? - I drove Sarah back to Fredericton. The gale was so bad here so can't imagine what it was like over in Grand MANAN. There was no way to retain highway driving speed. Putted along.

Kids all took me out to the Garrison Arms for a fine supper and insisted that due to my age I had to try various types of shooters. In order to show those little turkeys up I gamely matched them and walked out of the pub, however, by the time we left Fredericton I felt like I had drank two quarts of vodka, or something. Being as I am not much of a drinker you could truly say 'I bit my nose off to spite my face'. ARG.

The fog was so thick in the high country we had to stop. I thought I would have to walk in front of the car so husband could see where to drive. I took pictures and it literally looks like I had REALLY BAD blurry pictures - or could that be the shooters???? Woot. Anyway, two hours later we made it.

With regard to the Grand Manan fund raiser - I always said to Jeanne that if 1 percent of the population were half as good of people as you all - this world would be an awesome place to live in.

Have an excellent day.

Morning CHUNKS, we are still clinging to the rock, lots of wind yesterday. Pettes Cove, for the second time this past few months, had beach stuff across the road. For most of the day the nearest lee was Nova Scotia, the Bay had lots of opportunity to get angry before coming ashore.

Emily safe in Quispam, she insists that the rough water dosen't bother her, however yesterday was more than she needed to test. Her host will deliver her to Blacks sometime today.

Full tides just coming on, keep an eye out to see if any makes it to Hampton. One day nearly 29', if we have that and wind like yesterday the Bay will make its way to locations never before visted by salt water.

Glad to hear you enjoyed the Irish hospitality, once heard that God invented whiskey to prevent the Irish from ruling. Now where that come from have no idea, having a background of Scots/Irish myself.

Have a good one.
