A great one this morning, total calm, bright red sun showing up over Ross Island. A few waterfowel moving through the little bit of sea smoke making up. Temp -7C, to rise near the freezing mark. Severe wind and rain headed this way later on tomorrow, and lots of northerly at least till the old guy tries his sleigh ride.

Santa Claus Parade last evening, ideal conditions, cool, but not cold, moon lighting things up, no wind. The parade had many floats, lots of work went into the preparation, kids found it great. After the parade Open House at the Community Centre, live music, and show and tell at the arena for those that haven't dropped by, a grand community evening for sure.

Dear Rob:

Well that sounds totally awesome ! - a Christmas event i.e. the parade, that actually takes place at Christmas. Most of the parades are in November now - which I hate, and don't go to. Anyway - then the community event afterward really sounds like a good time not just for the kids, but also for the adults. There is something to be said for a small place, isn't there.

I heard on the t.v. somewhere that we were supposed to get this major dump of snow? I see you are saying we are going to get a major dump of rain? Do you know something I don't. I am heading to town right now because I thought I would be snowed in until Tues, Wed, and I just don't have everything done. Anyway, can you explain this weather issue here. I think I wouldn't mind having the rain because it is pretty hard to get around in 30 cm of snow. Arg.

Well, I hear the rent a kid honking the horn so I better move it. Have a good one.

Word. Chunks.
