A great looking sunrise, now giving over to cloudy skies, it appears the rain that has been promised is going to show up. Harbour a millpond, temp 14, to rise near 20C and showers the order of the day. Longrange giving more of the same well into next week.

Kids settling into the school routine, homework even done before supper. They probably didn't have any choice as they would be reminded best to get it out of the way and have the evening to themselves.

Arena construction coming along very well, the concrete pour held up this week to enable to have all personnel on site when it is done. Plan is to have at it first of next week, then go straight into the wood construction. Boards due on site by 27 SEP, things coming together. Ice making machine no delivery date as yet.

Dear Rob:

Doesn't O'Gals new Amway Center sound awesome - and here we are just wanting a simple rink? Different worlds or what?

Well - don't care if it rains or not I am in the major hiking mode so am planning a weekend trip to G.M. to see if I can finally do myself in. I would like to see the sperm whales, if they are still in attendance, so might have to go to White Head to check things out.

It is great to be able to sort of take off on a week day now and not have to worry too much about kids. Now I just worry about my cat - who is so spoiled that we give her most of the bed, by the fan, so she won't be too hot????? WE ARE IDIOTS! Anyway, she is going to have to learn to suck it up some too because momma is going for it. TAKE THAT PHANTOM!

All the election guys are out in full force and we had door to door election guys tonight.
Bev Harrison goes to every single one of the rugby games, soccer, football, and baseball - so all the young people know who he is. Very smart. He has young people working his campaign too, so everybody knows everybody. I like it. The kids wouldn't know who the other candidates were if they fell over them in the street.

Well, that is my exciting news. Just to let you know that since I am coming over it will be a beautiful weekend with absolutely no rain, etc. woot.

Word. Chunks.

Morning Rob, just had to mention our new Amway Center. It will be open for business the first of October. It is the new home to the Orlando Magic. They flushed all four hundred toilets at one time yesterday to make sure any group coming including basketball fans could have happy bathroom experiences. There is a huge jumbo tron on the side of the building which will allow drivers on I-4 to see basketball. Humm.....wonder if there will be more wrecks? The Eagles will be the first rock group to appear there in early October.

Glad Rob and Emily are settling into school.
