The last of the sunny mornings for awhile, cool -3C, near high tide, harbour calm, with the sky indicating things are going to change in the next little while. Small craft advisory for later on today with rain overnight.

Emily babysitting again this morning left the house at 0600 till late this afternoon. Rob out overnight another male bonding opportunity, with a short school week coming up will be more in the offing am sure.

Brother here till later on today, great to have them for a couple of nights. Mom enjoying the extra attention she is receiving.

Dear Rob:

Went for a 10 k hike at the Irving Nature Park. It was over-cast the whole time and the wind off the water was 'super' cool. Glad had on 4 layers and lite hiking gloves. The bull seals were all hauled out at Seal Rock. No evidence of any females so it is probable they are off to calving grounds. There was more grunting, barking, and growling going on than you ever heard. (herd) woot. Evidence that men can not keep it together without the females to keep them in line. Anyway - just as coming out the sun broke out in spades and blue sky. Figures.

It appears that Vancouver is going to be totally blasted with 110 k winds, AND then that system is coming our way. Blah. Easter weekend is looking outstanding so keep your fingers crossed. I hate it when it is good weather on easter though because I am resentful to have to stay in and Cook for everyone and waste a beautiful day outside. I have to suck it up.

Glad your brother is getting better and to be so gung-ho and back to golfing after all that crap is an inspiration to us all.

Hope the date with 'just a friend' went okay.

Later. Word. Chunks.

Morning CHUNKS, nice beach day in the offing, certainly no flies to contend with, especially after the wind picks up a bit.
Roy has been hooked up to the antibiotics due to a bone infection. He has had diabetes for decades and this is one of the problems he has encountered. However getting him mobile just about golf time has been timed just right.
You are right about fashion, not so much Emily, Rob is super cool in more ways than one, is hoodie with him, in his backpack, just in case he needs it. Only going from the truck to here or there, like you the cab is always toastie getting from here to there.
Harbour showing quite a bit of bird activity this morning, the odd pan of ice in evidence with a group on it getting a free ride. No brant, but once the wind picks up they will no doubt come in for a chance to get in some lee.
Have a good one.
