Overcast, calm, a bit warmer this morning @ -7C, temp to rise slightly but remain below freezing for the day. Similar weather pattern for the long range, temp dipping well below the freezing mark overnight.

Kids returned all in one piece, an awesome weekend is the best descriptor I have heard. No conflicts that I have been made aware of, a testimont to the organizers and chaperones, 24 teenage boys and 6 teenage girls. Also not an instance of male chauvinism reported to me, if it was meant to be by any of them didn't register with Emily. They would return tomorrow given half a chance. No complaints on the cold, thumps up.

The arena got some use yesterday afternoon with a public skate the order of the day. Quite a crowd given the short time the decision to move forward with the opening was made. Hopefully the 'rink crowd' can get this week at least to give the politicians an idea of how much the community is behind the project. The fundraising still in the early stages, the Thermometer now at $40K.

Dear Rob:

Still freezing here. -20 to start the day and supposed to get warmer to -7. I don't know when. We also have light snow which we weren't supposed to?

Cody and his crew off to Poley tomorrow in Cody's new 'hippie bus', as he calls the suburo. Hope that works out ok.

Glad to hear that all the kids had a grand time. Must be a hardy bunch because it sure was not warm over here by any stretch.

Glad also to hear that you got some skating in. The kids will have some fun on their turn around days.

Well, that is it. Have an excellent day.

Word. Chunks.

Morning CHUNKS, nice looking day underway now tht the clouds have decided to move off. Temp pleasant at a -4C, but a bit of a breeze getting underway.
Kids had a grand time on the excursion to Crabbe Mountain, no complaints on the conditions. Rob macho, no hill too big probably not as challenging as it 'should have been'. Emily on the other hand being the novice found herself on one run that she decided the best part of valour was to walk down to the bottom rather than risk her neck. Both ready to return in a heartbeat. Rob broke, borrowed from his siter, Emily returned with funds to go into her bank account. Rob belongs to the economic theory that one can only help the economy by keeping funds in ciruclation.
SHORE found Peter CUNNINGHAMs' site, lots of great photos to enjoy.
Free skating this afternoon, should be good turnout as the high school crowd don't go back till Wednesday, first two school days off as 'turn arounddays', something to do with the conclusion of exams.
Have a good one.

Good Morning Rob
I sure wouldn't want the job of chaperoning all those kids. The Queen and me did a few school dances and that was enough. The main job there was to break up any clutching lol
Have a great day
