A red sky behind Ross Island this morning, mackeral back sky starting to disapate as the sun comes up further. A nice temp lf -2C, a slight draft fron the NW. Temp to rise on the plus side for the next couple of days.

Rain yesterday in the morning took the snow down a long way, and a few squalls before dark helped in a big way. A fair amount of good old brown grass in evidence around the yard. Now if we can get some consistant warm temps might be able to rescue Santa off the lawn, along with various deer and snowmen.

School back in session today, Rob down with sour throat, no jacket on skateboard near zero temps probably a contributing factor. Emily had another evening of babysitting, assusres her grandmother the book she was supposed to be reading near completion.

Dear Rob:

I hate to say it, but - THE RED SKY THING AGAIN - you know that doesn't sit too well with me as it ALWAYS brings some sort of nasty weather here. DARN.

Sorry to hear that Rob is long in the tooth. You would probably have a heart-attack if you could see the outfits for spring skiing. During Poley days in March they have the water pond made up. OBJECT: Get a good run down the hill and see if you can make it the whole way across the pond on your skies or snowboard? Yes, this is dumb. Son usually wears shorts and a T-shirt so that when he gets fished out he can just go and change. Unbelievable. I have turned a blind eye.

Rugby practice tomarrow will also bring out a variety of outfits - to toughen up the boys? Again, DAH! Working at a drug store you can imagine the sick people I see on a daily basis, and let me please pray that Rob is not getting the cold/flue that has been walking through our store. Worst I have ever seen.

Anyway - hope we don't have to shovel once again.

Off to Saint John for an emergency gift for son's latest girlfriend - forgot birthday was the 11th. He's starting off good. NOT!

Morning Chunks, the red sky you worry about very evident this morning, quite a site for sure.
Sounds as if your week was eventful and went by in a hurry. This nest not one that has the ebb and flow as yours, but there is the day - so they tell us - that this will be. After nearly forty years one may be skeptical.
Weekend weather a harbinger of things to come, almost able to get a chair and enjoy a beverage outside, operative word almost.
