Update to October 2007 Orange County Fires

It's been almost 8 months since the fires dodged our neighborhood here in Foothill Ranch, CA. I wanted to add an update to a previous post regarding the fires. We continued to get ash inside our house during the Santa Ana winds that followed the fires in October of 2007. We got a small to moderate amount of rain this winter which helped to turn the hills green for a time. I went out yesterday with my boys to take some pictures near the same area I took the other ones. The Canyon and most all the trails are still closed to the public, but it appears that even in this short time period, nature is rebuilding herself. Check out the before and after photos
