Max sees shadow! Six more weeks of snow… whoops, Winter!

Here it is, Candlemas day again, where does the time go? And, still live
(not stuffed), from the Amos Stolzfus farm just outside of suburban Metompkin,
VA, comes the paw-up or paw-down forecast for the area from Metompkin Max.

Max is the most famous nephew of the grand master of all prognosticators,
Octoraro Orphie of Lancaster County, Pa. and makes his prediction
sporadically, since retirement in 2011, but, they come rain or shine,
sun or sleet, snow or... no, wait, that's the postman!

Max has been pining of late for the rolling hills of Accomack County,
especially after seeing the reports of snow the past couple of weeks on his
son's Chuckbook page. He figured one more forecast from the farm wouldn't
have him end up in hot water (let alone a frying pan!), so he stopped by.
It's always good to see the family, as well. He hopes that his forecast
doesn't disappoint!

When asked about his forecast for tonight's game he said "It'll be a good
one, and like Winter, it'll be over soon enough." Max, always the
prognosticator! Where are the tealeaves?

Keep the woodstove going and, Happy Candlemas Day, y'all!

I knew there'd be a forecast! Our winter is about to come rolling back in. It's 68 now, the front is on the other side of Houston, and we're going to start falling toward 40. Then, later in the week, we get ice pellets again. Hoorah!

I liked your previous poem, too, although I kept forgetting to come back and leave a comment. Now that I have my identity straightened out and am a little more caught up with things, I'll do better.

As for the Superbowl - I've already seen the Budweiser commercials, so I'm good. I did check to see who the halftime entertainment was going to be, and - whoops! I've never once heard of Bruno Mars. I'm not sure if he's an astrophysicist or a part of the candy bar conglomerate. (Not true, actually. I looked him up on Google.)

Ah, well. Maybe Max is up for a game of Scrabble during The Big Game. ;)

OH! I need to add. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the blogger formerly known as S-acres. If someone searches for that name, I want them headed over to wordpress, not here. So, a simple name change has been done.
