Max sees shadow! Six more weeks of snow… whoops, Winter!
Here it is, Candlemas day again, where does the time go? And, still live
(not stuffed), from the Amos Stolzfus farm just outside of suburban Metompkin,
VA, comes the paw-up or paw-down forecast for the area from Metompkin Max.
Max is the most famous nephew of the grand master of all prognosticators,
Octoraro Orphie of Lancaster County, Pa. and makes his prediction
sporadically, since retirement in 2011, but, they come rain or shine,
sun or sleet, snow or... no, wait, that's the postman!
Max has been pining of late for the rolling hills of Accomack County,
especially after seeing the reports of snow the past couple of weeks on his
son's Chuckbook page. He figured one more forecast from the farm wouldn't
have him end up in hot water (let alone a frying pan!), so he stopped by.
It's always good to see the family, as well. He hopes that his forecast
When asked about his forecast for tonight's game he said "It'll be a good
one, and like Winter, it'll be over soon enough." Max, always the
prognosticator! Where are the tealeaves?
