Big storm has passed on through up into the higher elevations of the Cascades. Lots of rain, but the ground is not yet completely saturated. Right now, fast-moving thin low clouds at 20-80% coverage and frequent sun breaks. Breeze out of the west is picking up and becoming a bit gusty.

Getting large hail now at 7PM PST. Lightning strikes are coming one a minute. Rain is very heavy and constant. RADAR map shows a huge cell covering much of the convergence zone moving in off of the Sound. It will dump a lot of rain as it crowds up against the western slope of the Cascades. Since the ground is not saturated I expect little flooding.

Lots of thunder and steady, moderate rain. It is fairly warm, approaching 50°F. No appreciable wind at the moment, but you can see the clouds moving fast so the winds not that far above me must be pretty brisk.
These storms are not going to be helpful for the landslide recovery efforts up on the Stillaguamish River. I am hoping the extra flow does not erode bodies of victims out of the debris dam and wash them away to turn up downstream, or even in Pu...

The detailed prediction calls for 'chance of rain' and current conditions say 'light rain mist' in spite of the giant orange blob over my house on NEXRAD. I just experienced a heavy fall of pea-sized hail starting 3:17PM from that supercell passing over. It lasted ~15 minutes, turning to heavy rain/hail mix towards the end. It left a 1/2" accumulation.
