Rare Texas Christmas Day snow
Posted by: DeltaPride, 4:34 PM GMT on December 26, 2012 +0
A much anticipated cold air system brought beautiful, but RARE snow on Christmas Day 2012 to Texas.

I am just glad I was able to stay at home and look out the window from my WARM living room and ENJOY!

Good morning DeltaPride:
It's good to see someone enjoying the snow. Around here it is not so much of a novelty but I can imagine how I'd feel if it was a rare event. In fact yesterday I found myself staring out at the falling snow. The "Waterfall Effect" makes you seem to drift upward as the flakes fall.

Hello ycd0108...Thanks for stopping in....

What was rare about this is, we hardly ever have snow around Christmas...If we get snow, it's more of a January or February event..so to get this on Christmas Day, it was rare to say it was a White Christmas..(in Texas anyway!)
AND we have been in drought conditions for awhile, so the melt will be beneficial!
