From the NWS:


... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 PM EST this
afternoon...

Impacts...

* roads and sidewalks will become slick this morning as a
combination of snow... sleet... and freezing rain overspreads
the area.

* Allow more travel time for the morning commute to work due to
roads which will become slick near to north of I-96.

Hazardous weather...

* 2 to 4 inches of wet snow is anticipated near to mainly north
of a line from Big Rapids to Mt. Pleasant from 6 am through 1
PM.

* Between Interstate 96 and Route 10 expect mixed snow and
freezing rain around the morning commute time before
precipitation changes over to plain rain later in the
morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

* a Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...
sleet... or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be
prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities... and
use caution while driving.
