I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED THE TIME IN THE FAMILY COTTAGE, IN THE HILLS OF BATTLE GROUND, WASHINGTON. WAITING FOR A RARE SUNNY DAY FOR A FAMILY GET TOGETHER.
DURING SCHOOL NIGHTS AND ON WEEKENDS DURING MY YOUNGER DAYS, IN SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA, WE AS A FAMILY PLAYED BOARD GAMES ON RAINY NIGHTS. DURING THE AUTUMN, WINTER AND SPRING WHEN IT RAINS DURING THE NIGHT, THE TEMPERATURE WAS USUALLY ABOUT 37*F. I WAS HOPING THAT THE TEMPERATURE WOULD DROP LOWER SO WE WOULD HAVE SNOW. OUR LOCAL RADIO STATION THAT WE LISTEN TO ALWAYS TALK ABOUT THE ROAD CLOSURES AND CHAIN CONTROL IN AREAS NEARBY AND THE AMOUNT OF SNOW THAT WAS ACCUMULATING IN THOSE AREAS ABOUT EVERY 15 MINUTES. BY SUNRISE THE TEMPERATURE STAYED THE SAME, IT DIDN'T SNOW BUT, I HAVE ALWAYS ENJOYED SEEING HOW MUCH SNOW, COVERED THE NEARBY HILLS AND MOUNTAINS THE VERY NEXT DAY
img height="315" src="
LISTENING TO OUR LOCAL RADIO STATION "clock radio am" WHILE PLAYING BOARD GAMES DURING RAINY NIGHTS, THIS SONG ALONG WITH "HEAR MY RAINY DAY SONG" WAS ALSO PLAYED ONCE AN HOUR DURING THE NIGHT, AS THEY BOTH FIT IN WITH THE WEATHER
THE YEAR BEFORE MY SENIOR YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL, INCLUDING A FEW YEARS AFTER HIGH SCHOOL, FAMILY VACATION OUTINGS WERE PUT TO A HALT, THAT MEANS NO SNOW TRIPS. I DID NOT HAVE MY DRIVERS LICENSE DURING THOSE YEARS AND I WANTED TO BE ABLE TO SEE SOME SNOW AGAIN, SO IT WAS DURING EASTER IN APRIL, THERE WAS A SNOWFALL ON OUR LOCAL MOUNTAINS IN SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA. IT LASTED A FEW DAYS AND IT WAS GOING TO BE THE LAST SNOWFALL OF THE YEAR, SO VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING AROUND 6:30AM I DECIDED TO RIDE MY DAD'S RACING BIKE UP MOUNT HAMILTON ROAD TO GET TO THE SUMMIT WHERE MOST OF THE SNOW WAS. I ARRIVED AT THE SUMMIT AROUND 3:00PM AND BUILD A SNOWMAN. IT WAS ABOUT 5:00PM WHEN I FINISHED BUILDING THE SNOWMAN NEXT TO THE LICK OBSERVATORY OVER LOOKING SAN JOSE. BY THAT TIME I WAS GETTING TIRED AND I KNEW THAT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO RIDE 18 MILES DOWN THE MOUNTAIN AND IT WAS GETTING COLD WITH THUNDERSTORMS ARRIVING, SO I CALLED A TAXI TO COME UP THE MOUNTAIN TO TAKE ME HOME. THE TAXI ARRIVED AN HOUR LATER AND THE RIDE HOME TOOK 45 MINUTES AND IN TIME FOR DINNER.
MY VERY FIRST WHITE CHRISTMAS WAS IN 2012 AT MY FAMILY'S NEW VACATION HOME IN SILVER SPRINGS, NEVADA. WE HAD A GET TOGETHER WITH OTHER RELATIVES ALONG WITH A TREE, PRESENTS, SLED RIDING AND WATCHING THE SNOW FALL. BETTER LATE THAN NEVER.img height="315" src="
WHILE HAVING OUR FIRST WHITE CHRISTMAS, WE ALWAYS ENJOYED "I'LL BE HOME WITH BELLS ON"
[[[[ I DID NOT REALIZED UNTIL NOW THAT THE HIT SONG BY THIS GROUP IS MISSING ON THIS CD VIDEO AND IT IS ON THIS CD BECAUSE I HAVE THIS SAME CD WITH THE SONG "I'll Be Home With Bells On" THE GROUPS' ONLY HIT SONG. I WILL FIND AND UPLOAD THAT SONG WHEN EVER I GET A CHANCE TO LOCATE THE HIT SONG]]]] Thanks for listening.
TRAVELING THROUGH SNOW IN AN AUTOMOBILE IS A WONDERFUL WAY TO SEE ALL THE SURROUNDINGS AS LONG AS THE ROAD IS SAFE TO TRAVEL ON. IT'S ALSO NICE TO STAY IN ONE PLACE TO JUST WATCH THE SNOW FALL AS IT'S ACCUMULATING.
IN MY HOMETOWN OF SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA, THERE WERE A FEW RAINSTORMS WITH LOW THUNDER DURING THE YEAR. DURING MY YOUNGER DAYS, I ALWAYS RODE MY BICYCLE OUT IN IT. THE ONLY OTHER PERSON RIDING A BICYCLE IN THE RAIN WAS THE PAPER BOY.
YES ELECTRICAL STORMS ARE RARE IN SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA. WE USUALLY GET A FEW OF THEM IN A ROW ABOUT ONCE EVERY FIVE TO TEN YEARS. BUT WHEN THESE STORMS DO OCCUR, I ALWAYS ENJOY FILMING THEM AND OBSERVING THEM FROM MY GARAGE DOOR.
I LOVE RAINY DAYS ON MONDAYS WHEN I WAS IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, BECAUSE BEING AN OVER CROWDED SCHOOL WITH DOUBLE SESSION, ETC. IT WAS GREAT TO HAVE OUR RECESS AND LUNCH TIME IN THE CLASSROOM WITH JUST THE STUDENTS IN YOUR OWN CLASS PRESENT. THINGS WERE MORE ORDERLY AND THIS KEPT THE CHILDREN FROM GETTING INTO HASSLES WITH STUDENTS FROM OTHER CLASSROOMS.
DURING MY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DAYS IN SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA, I KNEW WHEN THE SKIES WERE CLEARING AND THE RAIN WAS GONE, IT WAS BACK TO THE REGULAR OUTDOOR RECESS AND LUNCH TIME OUTDOORS INCLUDING THE CHILDRENS HASSLES, ETC.
HERE IN SILVER SPRINGS, IT IS GREAT TO BE ABLE TO SIT BY THE WINDOW AND TO WATCH THE SNOW PILING UP OUTSIDE, WHILE WORKING ON MY COMPUTER
THIS SPRING 2014 I WILL BE PLANTING SOME PUMPKINS IN MY GARDEN

STAYING IN MY FAMILY VACATION PLACE IN SILVER SPRINGS, (second photo below) IS WONDERFUL IN THE WINTER TIME WITH ALL THE SNOW, AND AWAY FROM THE CITY AND THE BRIGHT CITY LIGHTS.
