Even though today is the first day of Spring, we're not even considering warmer temps and severe weather. Instead this week we've been in the 30's and feeling like winter.
Not to depress anyone but today's high was 37.2°. Last year on this day? 89.2°
Yes. That's a 52° difference.
And now looking ahead to this weekend we could be in for even one more snow storm. A low pressure ejecting out of Texas will bring abundant moisture ahead of it, and also a slight warm up. That'll give us a period of rain during the day Sunday.

And then... a perfect scenario for a late March storm. Low pressure riding up the Appalacians pulls cold air in on the backside, and all hitting overnight when snow accumulation is more likely in our Spring months. The ingredients are there.
It's 4 days out, but at this point computer models just can't come in to a perfect agreement on track. Especially for this time of year, track is everything. It could be the difference betweem a cold rain and a foot of snow.
GFS Snowfall Forecast
Keep in mind in 2007 when we had our major March blizzard in a scenario like this. I am not saying this will turn out that way, but everything could come together for a scary scenario.
I plan on updating frequently between now and Sunday.
