Sorry for the delay between posts. I've been in Nashville and also dealing with a lot of heavy stuff lately. But you know what... weather has always been there for me to believe in and sink myself in to. Prepare for a lot more posts, starting now...

There's a pretty intense squall line heading our way right now, with embedded tornado warnings and a blanket Severe Thunderstorm Warning up and down the line:

People in Columbus should be ready to take shelter as the Tornado Warned section of the storm will be heading your way within the next half hour.

Could be a rocky evening.

A wind gust of 54mph and another 0.3" of rain has been the result of this squall line in South Bloomfield. Totalling our morning storm, we've gotten 2.64" of rain today! That's really piling on the monthly total to make it 6.69". We should get roughly another tenth through the evening.

I'll write tomorrow about our continued wetness and what's ahead for the rest of the week.

Severe Weather Stats:
Severe Thunderstorm Watches: 2
Severe Thunderstorm Warnings: 8
Tornado Watches: 4
Tornado Warnings: 0
Flood Watches: 8
Flood Warnings: 8
Heat Advisories: 0

Praying for you.... and glad that the weather is a great constant for you.

Stay safe in all the wild storms that are scattered around your half of the nation.

Seems like those squall line Tornado Warnings usually don't amount to much. And if it does manage to spin one up, they aren't too strong or long lasting.

But... those are also the scariest. Rain wrapped, fast moving, and nearly impossible to detect on radar. I know I heard something about a spotter confirming a touchdown east of Springfield, so guess we'll have to wait till morning to know for sure.

Sorry to hear things aren't going super for you.

Well the weather certainly captured everyone's attention tonight. It looked like it weakened as it moved into Columbus, as I didn't see any hail. Winds were pretty strong though. I'll be curious to see if the tornado warnings amounted to anything or were just rotation.

I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog and your perspective on the weather here in central Ohio. Sorry to hear that your absence from the blogosphere was not for more uplifting reasons.
