The very dry weather continues here in NorCal. Through March 15th, here in Belmont, we have received only 1.34" of rain over the first 74 days of 2013. Monthly totals: January 0.35", February 0.57", and March 0.42" (so far). We did quite well with rainfall Oct.-Dec. 2012 so the current Water Year (July 1, 2012-June 30, 2013) could be a lot worse. The Water Year total is currently at 13.02". We have a long way to go in catching our average annual total of 26.33" and the outlook for the rest of March isn't very promising. Time to head outside and enjoy the sunny, warm weather and blooming trees.
