Shadows
Posted by: AnneAbrams, 7:53 AM GMT on January 27, 2006 +0
I have seen many interesting photos with shadows and they intrigue me. They seem to add so much to an image. This one by TREKZEN inspired me to post this. Send me your interesting "shadow" images and I'll post them. Ann e

Tate depot series. (imaris)
Tate is a small town in Pickens County, north Georgia, USA, known for its marble quarrying industry. This railroad depot is in pretty bad shape, with peeling paint and broken windows. But I think it is actively being used because the window air conditioning unit was operating. The building still has a lot of charm, so, hopefully, the local historical society will recognize its value and start restoring it soon.

Sea level to the sky (Super)
On a beautiful morning Mt Rainer shown brightly in the morning sun. The picture was taken at sea level on the shore of Puget Sound in Manchester Washington. The height of Mt Rainer is 14,410 feet or 4,392 meters. During the summer over half of the mountain is covered with snow. There are several glaciers on the mountain.

Ann e another great collection! Thanks WUPPs again you impress and enlighten. ;)

Each of these is worth a return visit. This time I am especially intrigued by 'laughing shadow' - whether by suggestion or not this seems very clear. So clear, in fact, that I wonder if it is a named shadow in the way that unusual rock formations are often named.

z All the WUG photogs did the hard work, I just help gather the great images together with hopefully a theme. That way I can view my favorites again whenever I like and others can do the same. I enjoy others who put their favorites in blogs also. I am aware of the problem of dialup viewers...takes a long time to load. Not sure I have a solution to that. Thanks for perservering and for your comments! ann e
