Good morning. Survived St Patrick's Day for this year and hope to be around for the next one. Interesting day ahead as we wait to see what kind of stormy weather is in store for us tomorrow. I am hoping it will be rain for us as we are borderline as to what mix we could end up with. I am so tired of snow as I am sure many others are too. At least what we just received is all but gone from the lawns now and with today's little warmup, it should be gone completely before this new storm arrives.
Anyway, I see south of me there is some pretty interesting weather going on so please be alert to what is going on around you, stay safe and stay well.

Good morning everyone. Late getting up this morning. Sun is shining, winds have died down but its still a cool 28F and won't get much warmer. Tomorrow they are talking perhaps 32F as a high with some lake effect snow...We will wait and see. Not too bad now that the wind has died down.
I see the east is really getting hit with heavy snow again and that from Toronto northeast they got a lot again too. Glad I don't live in Ottawa. The 25 mph winds were bad enough.
Have a safe day.

GM Alley, we were 24 degrees this morning, and another dusting of snow leaving another inch on everything.I was so hoping to have bare ground and some warming temps for our new pup,but looks like she is going to have to get used to snow right off the bat.She is flying in on Monday.

I think today's vernal equinox should be renamed venal, as this lingering winter certainly has corrupted our usual signs of spring!
We made out okay with all the snow yesterday, but unfortunately our ole snowblower bit the dust and died by late afternoon. Thankfully, our trusted friend and neighbor, across the street, was on hand to help us remove the few inches of newer snowfall from our driveway. What a true blessing he is to us!! Hope that any future snow to be had on Thursday and possibly next Monday will come in light flakes and quickly melt on contact. Seems we're in for a few more weeks of winter's grip till any real signs of spring appear. If venturing outdoors this year, bundled up Easter bunnies should have no problem hiding their eggs! Although, eager, young, winter-clothed children may need to bring a snow shovel along in their pursuit of those hidden (albeit frozen) delights! LOL!

Good morning everyone. A really chilly start to the day with temps hovering around 20F at the moment with a 9 mph wind. Think I will just take my meds this morning and go back to bed for a bit since I have decided to wait until tomorrow to go and have my blood work done for Monday's doc appointment. Just too cold for these old bones. Suppose to reach 32F today and warmer tomorrow so I will wait one more day.
Have a great day everyone, stay warm and stay well. Certainly going to be one long winter before we finally do see some warm Spring weather. A big change from last year at this time.

Here I sit, bum ankle propped up on a chair, keyboard on my lap, and a space heater positioned strategically near my tuckus! Well, that's a sight to imagine, isn't it? LOL! At least I'm as cozy as I can be, given the circumstances! :' )
Good luck tomorrow!

Saturday once more. Boy this week has went by fast. Our lotto max did not go last night, back up to 30 million for next Friday. What a nice Easter gift that would be.
Anyway gotta soon put up a proper blog but the choices are endless. Hope to do it this week.
Have a great wknd.

Good morning everyone. Overcast otherwise quiet out.Not even a wee breeze. Must check the temps but I have a feeling we will be going back up into the 40s today. Yesterday was nice after all those cold mornings. Baring any precipitation from that front going south of us, we should have a nice week ahead to prepare for our Good Friday and Easter wknd.
Have a safe day of rest today. Tomorrow Monday will be upon us once again the work week.

Hope this week leading into Easter brings about warmer days ahead for you, too! I almost had to rub my eyes at this week's Mass. forecast, as it showed temps actually reaching the low 50's by mid-week and lasting through Easter Sunday! I guess the Easter bunny had a run in with ole Punxsutawney Phil and gave him what for! LOL!
Hope better days shape up nicely for everyone around here, as the mid-west and mid-Atlantic regions were dealt another serious blow! Let's hope that April Fools Day, (one week away), won't fool us into thinking spring's nearly here as our groundhog did.
Hope you're doing reasonably well and have a decent day and week ahead!

Good morning Alley. Your right. I believe the diversion gates will be opened again this year. I should call them and ask if they need an extra hand in the control structure. I worked in it for a few floods and still remember which buttons to push to raise and lower the gates. It would be interesting to see if they still use the app I authored in the 90's that calculates flows on the river and the diversion with different gate settings. Enjoy your day.

Good morning Ylee. Don't know about any good deals at the grocery store but I did end up paying almost 30 bucks for a leg of lamb to cook on Easter. The only sale was on a big honking slab of beef but I am not much of a beef eater. Duck was on special, turkey was up there with the lamb so I opted for lamb. To me,lamb is more traditional for Easter. Instead of making a Red Velvet cake for dessert, I got Red Velvet Ice cream. ooooh so good. I will roast root veggies to go with the lamb and make a nice gravy. All in all, Easter dinner will be good. Hope you all have a great day.

Interesting that you can buy leg of lamb and duck up there; those items are almost impossible to find down here(not that I've been looking for them, mind you, lol).
Sounds good, though!

HAPPY EASTER SANDI and PROS. Yup that lamb could feed a few folks but it's mine, mine, mine. LOL
Leftovers gets frozen into meal portions for when I don't feel like cooking. Just warm up and enjoy. The joy of owning a freezer. That is why if I ever win the big lotto up here, my next place will have a walk in professional freezer so I can buy bulk and always have good food on hand for whatever I decide to cook. Another must is a 6 burner commercial gas range with all the toys. Whereas some luxury homes have 6 car garages, I will have just a two car garage but damn I will have a full commercial kitchen instead...LOL
Anyway, I guess by now you all know I love to cook and come up with different recipes. LOL
Hope you have a great Saturday. Lots to do today so better start off with lots of coffee.

Hope your leftovers aren't the only things that can be heated up and enjoyed this weekend! It would be nice if our weather and temps also affords us the same results!
Thankfully, all traces of March's snowy mess have left our neighborhood and been replaced with increased sunshine and better signs of a real spring! Hubby got so excited, the other day, that he took our covered gas grill out to the backyard. Wouldn't ya know, it began to hail awhile (while 55F degrees, no less) just after completing the task and coming indoors! This gives new meaning to the phrase, "All Hail the Conquering Hero!" LOL!
Hope your Easter weekend is pleasant, your special meals delectable and better days are in store for all of us, at long last, as we enter into April on Monday! YIPPEEE!

I think of the garden after the rain;
And hope to my heart comes singing,
At morn the cherry-blooms will be white,
And the Easter bells be ringing!

That lamb sounds big enough for visitors...... lol
