This is what greeted me this morning. Other than the distressing thought that I can go outside in my bathrobe and take photos like that without freezing in the first 30 seconds, it's an absolutely stellar morning! We've been listening to snow sliding off the roof for a couple of days now. All the snow has melted or fallen from the trees, and the driveway now doubles as a hockey rink. What can I say... I spoke too soon about the freeze/thaw cycles, I guess. This is what Koda thinks of all of this weird weather...

Just because I think this nose is so cute...

Friday afternoon, and after about 4" of new snow last night, it's warming up again... 16°F and looking like more snow. :) Yippee!!! Hubby just got gas for the snowmachines... guess what we're doing tomorrow??

We are cooling off a little bit now... 23°F and we got a dusting of snow last night. Back to "normal", whatever that really truly is.

I just wanted to post a note this morning regarding the passing of Heath Ledger yesterday, as the news truly shocked and saddened me. Not only because the teenager in me has had a crush on him since the movie "A Knight's Tale" came out, but because of all the "celebrities" out there, he was one of the ones that I felt had a good solid grip on life as an object of our society's undying attention and affection. Unlike the (unnamed to protect myself from spamming) others who monopolize the spotlight with their crazy antics (you know who they are!), he was apparently highly regarded in all aspects of his life. His passing is a shame, as I believe his career was being carefully crafted and molded into something remarkable - he has already left his mark on the industry at such a young age.
Just my 0.02.

yes, and it's been colder even here in PA than up in Alaska! What a strange weather pattern we are in. Might be "global warming" for them, but not for us! It was 7 here on Monday morning. Guess we have to go NORTH to get warm and visit Tori!
