Fire Weather Warning, Fire Weather Watch Statement as of 2:26 PM EDT on May 11, 2008

... Red flag warning in effect from 12 PM to 8 PM EDT Monday...

... Fire Weather Watch in effect from Tuesday afternoon through
Tuesday evening...

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a red flag
warning... which is in effect from 12 PM to 8 PM EDT Monday. This
replaces the Fire Weather Watch which had been in effect Monday.

A new Fire Weather Watch has also been issued from Tuesday
afternoon through Tuesday evening.

Behind a cold front which is forecast to push through east central
Florida late tonight... very dry air is expected to push into the
area Monday through Tuesday.

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
create explosive fire growth potential.

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.
