the Rock River at Moline.
* Until further notice.
* At 9:30 am Monday the stage was 12.4 feet... and falling.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast... fall to 12.1 feet Tuesday morning.
* Impact... at 12.5 feet... water affects some residences in the lower
Friendship farm area. 60th St is under water south of the Green
Valley sports complex. 56th St along the north side of the river
is under water.

1966 -- 50 years ago: The Rev. Lowell Campbell, pastor of the Milan Presbyterian Church, led the members of the congregation in a ground-breaking ceremony yesterday at the site of the new church one mile south of Andalusia Road on U.S. 67. The building will cost $285,000 and will be completed next fall.
1991 -- 25 years ago: Construction of a 200-room, $13.5 million hotel on the east end of the Moline civic center site will begin next spring, according to an agreement that was to be considered this morning by the Quad City Civic Center Authority.
