... Winter Storm Warning is cancelled...

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect until midnight CST
tonight. The Winter Storm Warning has been cancelled.

* Snow will gradually decrease this afternoon and evening.
Additional snow amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible.

* Widespread snowfall amounts of 4 to 8 inches are expected by
late tonight.

* Northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph this afternoon will cause areas
of drifting and localized blowing snow... and may reduce visibility
at times.

* Roads will remain slick and snow covered into this evening.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that
visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and
blowing snow. Be careful when traveling... especially in open
areas.










... Flood Warning now in effect until further notice...

The Flood Warning continues for
the Rock River near Joslin.
* Until further notice.
* At 8:30 am Tuesday the stage was 12.2 feet... and steady.
* Flood stage is 12 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast to continue.
* Forecast... rise to 12.5 feet Thursday.
* Impact... at 12 feet... water affects some Summer cottages along the
river.
