Special Statement
Statement Issued: 10:55 PM CST on December 12, 2018

... Slippery roads and freezing fog expected tonight...

Hazardous driving conditions were occurring over much of the
region due to snow and ice covered roads, and freezing fog.

Temperatures were still a little above freezing in parts of
eastern Wisconsin, but falling temperatures will result in
sub-freezing conditions overnight. Untreated roads and sidewalks
could become ice covered and slippery as wet surfaces freeze.

Fog will also reduce visibilities to less than one-quarter mile
in spots, and may freeze on untreated roads across the region
tonight.

Motorists should use caution tonight, as untreated surfaces,
bridges and overpasses may be ice covered and hazardous, and
visibility will be poor.
