... Red flag warning remains in effect until 7 PM PDT Monday...
For the Sacramento Valley... winds will decrease tonight but could remain locally gusty along far western portions. This will allow for areas of moderate humidity recovery overnight. The wind however is forecast to increase again Monday morning. North wind of 10 to 25 mph with local gusts up to 35 mph are expected Monday. Temperatures will be warmer Monday and daytime humidities again in the teens to single digits. The combination of gusty wind and low humidity will continue critical fire weather conditions in the Sacramento Valley through late Monday afternoon.
For eastern portions of the Shasta Trinity National Forest... eastern slopes of the Mendocino Forest and Lake County mountains... and the northern Sierra Nevada foothills... gusty north to northeast wind of 10 to 25 mph with gusts 30 to 40 mph will continue tonight into Monday. Humidity recoveries tonight will generally be poor and daytime humidities Monday will continue in the teens to single digits.
Winds are expected to decrease in most areas by Monday evening but remain locally gusty in the foothills through Tuesday morning.
