A strong storm system that is dropping down from Canada is expected to bring gusty winds and cooler temperatures to the Bay Area, according to the National Weather Service.

Strong and gusty winds have developed along the coast and in the coastal valleys this afternoon. Northerly winds of 15 to 30 mph with local gusts to 45 mph have been reported along the shoreline this afternoon and are expected to continue into the early morning hours of Saturday.
A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 to 39 mph and or gusts of 45 to 57 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
