Synopsis For High Island To Matagorda Ship Channel Out 60 Nm
High pressure over the area will pull away to the east tonight with a cold front moving off the coast Friday morning. Rain chances will be increasing overnight as a disturbance moves up the coast. Light to moderate offshore flow in the wake of the cold front will be increasing Friday night and Saturday as winds swing to the northeast and east in advance of developing Pacific storm system. This system will swing through the area sweeping in a round of showers and thunderstorms Monday. Small craft advisories will be likely Saturday night through Sunday.

East winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Seas 3 to 5 feet. A slight chance of showers in the evening...then showers likely and isolated thunderstorms after midnight.

East winds 5 to 10 knots becoming north 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Seas 3 to 4 feet. Isolated thunderstorms in the morning. Showers likely.

North winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet. A chance of showers in the evening.

Northeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet.
