Areal Flood Watch

... Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of south central Montana... including the following
counties... Golden Valley... Wheatland... Carbon... park... Stillwater
and Sweet Grass.

* Through tonight

* showers and thunderstorms will occur today and tonight with areas
of heavy rainfall. Rain amounts from Sunday and Sunday night,
have been reported to be 1 to 2 inches with a few reports between
2 and 3 inches. An additional 1 to 1.5 inches is possible through
tonight. Showers will taper off Tuesday morning. This periodic
heavy rain will cause area ditches, streams and rivers to rise
aggressively and possibly flood.

* Roads could become covered in water, with local roads possibly
becoming too Muddy to traverse. Be mindful to not cross a Road
which is inundated with water. Remember, turn around don't drown.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood
warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
