Areal Flood Warning

... A Flood Warning remains in effect until further notice for
northeastern Fergus County...

At 542 am MDT Friday, the river gauge on the Missouri River near
Landusky indicated that the river had risen above flood stage and
was likely causing minor flooding in the James Kipp Recreation Area.

Forecasts indicate that the river should continue rising over the
next day or so, but flooding should remain in the minor category.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
