Areal Flood Warning


The National Weather Service in Great Falls has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
Lewis And Clark County in west central Montana...

* until further notice.

* At 827 PM MDT Tuesday, reporting gauges, emergency management
officials, local law enforcement, and other sources continued to
report flooding across much of Lewis And Clark County.

* Numerous roads are being impacted by, or even closed due to flood
waters, including portions of State Highway 200 and U.S. Highway
287. More roads may need to be closed as runoff continues flowing
out of the mountains.

* Significant flooding is being reported in the town of Augusta and
elsewhere along and near the Sun River, along the Dearborn river
near the town of Craig, and along the Tenmile creek into the city
of Helena.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
