... Winter Storm Warning in effect from 11 am this morning to 5 PM
MST Sunday...

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Winter
Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect
from 11 am this morning to 5 PM MST Sunday. The Winter Storm
Watch is no longer in effect.

Snow developing during the day today over the northwest Highlands
will expand in coverage to the San Juan Mountains... the Jemez
Mountains... and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains by tonight as snow
levels fall below 6000 feet.

Expect 8 to 12 inches of new snow through Sunday afternoon. Expect up
to 6 inches additional snow locally over the summits and higher
slopes near the Colorado border. Expect 4 to 8 inches of new snow
over lower slopes... and slopes facing to the east.

Snow will continue through the day on Sunday... with snow tapering
off Sunday evening to ease these dangerous winter weather conditions.

Travel is discouraged. Roads will be snow packed and
