... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 6 am MDT Saturday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of south central New Mexico and southwest New
Mexico... including the following areas... in south central New
Mexico... Sierra County lakes region and southern desert. In
southwest New Mexico... southwest desert/bootheel... southwest
desert/Mimbres basin and Southwest Mountains/lower Gila region.

* Until 6 am MDT Saturday

* a very moist and unstable airmass along with slow storm
movement may produce locally very heavy rains and flash
flooding.

* Flooding of arroyos and urban drainages is likely. In addition
flooding of roadways and low lying areas is possible.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
