Freeze Watch
Statement as of 3:00 am MDT on October 12, 2008

... Freeze watch in effect from this evening through Monday
morning...

The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a freeze
watch... which is in effect from this evening through Monday
morning.

Mostly clear skies tonight will combine with decreasing winds and
dry conditions to allow for excellent radiational cooling across
the valleys of eastern Utah and western Colorado. Temperatures are
expected to drop below 32 degrees in many areas by midnight tonight
and remain below 32 degrees through sunrise Monday morning.

A freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible.
These conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
