High Wind Warning

... High Wind Warning remains in effect from 8 PM this evening to
11 am MST Tuesday...
... Wind Advisory will expire at 5 PM MST this afternoon...

* timing... a period of gusty winds will occur during the
afternoon hours. A brief lull will is expected during the
evening before high winds develop again overnight.

* Winds... northwest 30 to 35 mph with gusts to 50 mph until late
afternoon. Becoming northwest 35 to 45 mph with gusts to 60
mph possible after 8 PM.

* Impacts... mainly for high profile and light weight vehicles
traveling on east to west oriented roads. Sudden wind gusts
could force these type of vehicles off roads. Snow showers will
develop this evening as well and will continue at times
overnight. The combination of snow and wind will reduce
visibilities to one mile or less at times through the
night... and blowing snow will create slick and snow covered
roads. Travel will become hazardous in some areas tonight.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected
or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts
of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage. For detailed Road
