Wind Advisory


... Wind Advisory remains in effect from 9 am to 5 PM CDT
Wednesday...

* timing... 9 am to 5 PM CDT Wednesday.

* Winds... south winds 30 to 35 mph with gust to 45 mph.

* Impacts... driving may be difficult at times... especially for
high profile and light weight vehicles. Unsecured outdoor
items will be blown around.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph or
gusts between 45 and 57 mph are expected. Winds this strong can
make driving difficult... especially for high profile vehicles on
east to west oriented roadways like Interstate 90. Use extra
caution.

Fire Weather Watch


... Fire Weather Watch in effect from Wednesday morning through
Wednesday evening for strong winds and low humidity for south
central and southeast Minnesota...

The National Weather Service in Twin Cities/Chanhassen has issued
a Fire Weather Watch... which is in effect from Wednesday morning
through Wednesday evening.

* Affected area... south central and southeast
Minnesota... including areas east and south of a line from
Fairmont to New Prague to Red Wing.

* Wind... sustained south winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 mph.

* Humidity... reaching 30 to 35 percent by early afternoon.

* Thunderstorms... a few storms are expected Wednesday evening as
a cold front moves through.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible
red flag warnings.
