Excessive Heat Warning


... Excessive heat warning remains in effect until 11 PM PDT
Saturday...

* temperature... Valley High temperatures 103 to 111 through
Saturday. Lows in the upper 60s to mid 70s through Saturday
morning.

* Impacts... long outdoor exposure will increase chances for heat
related illness, especially for sensitive groups and people
without access to ac. Heat stress possible for livestock with
limited relief from the heat overnight. Area waterways running
very cold and fast, increasing risk for hypothermia and water
rescues.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. Avoid
strenuous activities in the heat of the day. Know the signs and
symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight
and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty of
water. Do not leave people and pets should unattended in
vehicles.

Fire Weather Warning


... Red flag warning remains in effect until noon PDT today for
north winds and low humidity for fire weather zones 213, 215,
216, 263, 264, 266, and 279...

* wind... north winds 5 to 15 mph early this morning. Decreasing
winds throughtout the day.

* Humidity... very poor humidity recovery this morning as low as 15-
30 percent.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
