Scattered thunderstorms and rainshowers will continue to move to the east around 20 mph over southwest and north central Nebraska. The strongest storms with the heaviest rain will continue along a line from Stapleton to Madrid. These storms are capable of brief heavy rain and gusty winds to 35 mph. Hourly rainfall rates of around a half inch are possible. Rainshowers with some embedded thunderstorms will continue from Thedford to Burwell through the early morning hours. Hourly rainfall rates with these showers will be less than a tenth of an inch.
