Flood Warning

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Batesville.
* Until late Saturday night... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 6:00 PM Thursday the stage was 14.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise
to near 15.8 feet by tomorrow early afternoon. The river will fall
below flood stage by tomorrow late evening.

The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Newport.
* From late Saturday night to Monday morning... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 9:00 PM Thursday the stage was 18.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is expected to rise to near flood stage early
Sunday morning.

Flood Advisory

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a
* flood advisory for
the White River at Newport.
* Until Saturday evening.
* At 5:00 am Friday the stage was 19.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 26.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near 24.0 feet tomorrow morning
and remain near this level into tomorrow evening before beginning
to fall on Sunday.
