... Unseasonably cold system moving into the region...

A strong low pressure system will move into the intermountain
region Thursday night. This storm is forecast to bring rain and
snow showers... unseasonably cool temperatures... and gusty winds
to southeast Oregon and southwest Idaho through the weekend.

Expect Friday and Saturday night temperatures to be at or
below freezing throughout lower valleys. Snow levels will drop
dramatically by Friday night... with snow showers possible at
lowest elevations and light snow accumulations likely above 5000
feet. High temperatures will average 15 degrees below October
normals and gusty northwest winds will add to the chill.
