Through 430 PM...scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms continue to develop across the region. The heaviest concentration of storms is from Tampa Bay northward to Brooksville. This line will be spreading northward towards southern Citrus County. East of I 75, a large area of showers with a couple embedded thunderstorms is north of I 4 near Dade City, Zephyrhills, and the Green Swamp. Further south, widely scattered thunderstorms will be near Hidden River, Pine Level, and North Port. These storms will be moving to the east at 10 mph. Expect storms coverage to increase throughout the afternoon. Locations near thunderstorms activity can expect heavy rainfall with occasional cloud to ground lightning and gusty winds. Heavy rainfall will cause minor street flooding in low lying and poor drainage areas.
