The Flood Warning continues for
the Congaree River at Carolina Eastman.
* Until further notice... or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 2 am Thursday the stage was 118.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 115.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... a crest near 120.9 feet is forecast Friday night.
* Flood history... this crest compares to a previous crest of 120.9
feet on Jun 3 2005.
Flood Advisory
Statement as of 11:20 PM EST on November 11, 2009
The Flood Advisory continues for
the Congaree River at Columbia.
* Until Friday morning.
* At 11 PM Wednesday the stage was 11.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to crest at 16.7 feet Friday early
afternoon.
* Advisory stage is 10.0 feet.
* At 16.0 feet... old State Road ( SC 66) below Cayce becomes flooded.

Thursday...
A lake Wind Advisory remains in effect until 11 PM EST Thursday.
Low pressure near the coast will bring northeast to north winds
of 15 to 25 knots... along with higher gusts through Thursday.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats and personal watercraft will be
especially prone to capsizing.
