National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to indicate a severe thunderstorm capable of producing destructive Golf Ball size hail... and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located near Highway 85 milepost 60... or 33 miles south of Torrington... moving southeast at 25 mph. No reports of severe weather have been received so far from this storm. The severe thunderstorm will be near... La Grange around 940 PM MDT. Precautionary/preparedness actions... Severe thunderstorms produce damaging wind in excess of 60 mph... destructive hail... deadly lightning... and very heavy rain. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of your home or business. Heavy rains flood roads quickly so do not drive into areas where water covers the Road. Lat... 	Special Weather Statement
Statement as of 9:03 PM MDT on July 10, 2009 ... A couple of strong storms in southern Goshen County... At 900 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 12 miles southwest of Hawk Springs... or 31 miles southwest of Torrington... moving east at 20 mph. Another slightly weaker storm was located about 5 miles southwest of Torrington moving northeast at 25 mph. It will be in the Torrington area by 910 PM. Heavy rain... hail up to penny size... and winds up to 40 mph are expected with these storms as they move across southern Goshen County through 945 PM.
