The National Weather Service in Cheyenne has issued a Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow... which is in effect from midnight tonight to 3 PM MDT Friday. The Winter Storm Watch is no longer in effect.
* Timing... midnight tonight through 3 PM Friday afternoon.
* Total snow accumulations... 5 to 8 inches across lower elevations with 10 to 16 inches possible for the Laramie and Medicine Bow ranges.
* Winds/visibilities... north to northeast winds are expected to increase to 15 to 25 mph with higher gusts behind a cold front Thursday night... especially for Laramie and eastern Albany counties. Visibilities could be significantly reduced by a combination of snow and blowing snow.
* Impacts... very hazardous driving conditions will be possible tonight into Friday afternoon.
